​Trees are an important part of our landscape – not just for the beauty and aesthetic pleasure they bring us as property owners; but also for the immediate ecosystem around your property. 

Over the years, some trees will develop structural defects that can create an unsafe tree that could collapse and cause a range of damage in the surrounding area.  While sometimes people prefer to remove these trees altogether, that’s not the only option available on the table – and probably shouldn’t be. Again, trees are important to your property for a wide range of reasons – and removing one from the premises can deeply disrupt any number of elements in and around the immediate area.

​They say warm winters can be a blessing and a curse and was certainly true this last year if you so happen to simultaneously be a New Englander and a nature lover. To be sure – not having to shovel mountains of heavy  NH, ME and MA snow is nice, it did come a price; a price that was paid by our trees and shrubs.

Without cold weather to kill off or reduce insect populations, we’ve seen a big increase in insect infestations this year across the board. One of the most common infestations we deal with in our region is scale on trees – most specifically – Magnolia Scale.
